Training
We are based at the Britannia Rowing Club on Trent Side North by
the river Trent between Trent Bridge and The City Ground in
Nottingham.

A larger map showing our location can be found here
(opens in a new window).
We train twice a week, on Wednesdays at 6pm and on Sundays
at 10am. Occasionally we have to alter the date or location of
training, usually this is if our normal training time clashes with
Nottingham Forest playing at home. If this happens details will be
left on the notice board at the boat shed.
Training sessions typically last about 90 minutes and there are
full changing and showering facilities at the Brit Club.
If you want to try out dragon boating, feel free to come down
for a free taster session. It's a great way to get fit and improve
your cardio vascular fitness as well as meeting a great bunch of
friendly people and competing as part of a tight-knit team.
All equipment is provided, just bring a change of clothes as you
are likely to get wet. It is a watersport after all!
Also, don't forget that as well as training hard and racing
hard, there is also a very active social side to the club as well,
it's not all hard work. Club social events are arranged each month
and can vary from going out for an evening in town to going to the
ice hockey or taking part in some other team building exercise.
We can also organise corporate events for a day out of the
office with a difference as well as offering training sessions for
crews involved in charity dragon boating festivals. We also offer
training sessions for cubs and scouts working to gain their dragon
boating badge.
Charity crew or scout training sessions are
typically available on a Monday evening from around 6pm
although other days may be available upon request. For further
information or to check availability please contact us.
